Summary

The City of Surprise (City) issued an Request for Proposal (RFP) for nineteen (19) Trade Services Categories for routine maintenance and repair of City facilities. These services will be used when necessary to supplement the City's workflow or to perform work for which the City does not have appropriate personnel. These services are performed on a daily basis and usage of the contracts is expected to be frequent.

Background

Trade Services is used for routine maintenance and repair on City facilities and property as requested. The scope of work does not cover construction as defined by Arizona Revised Statues - Title 34, Section 101 Definitions:

Construction

(a) Means the process of building, altering, repairing, improving or demolishing any public structure or building or other public improvements of any kind to any public real property.

(b) Does not include the routine operation, routine repair or routine maintenance of existing facilities, structures, buildings or real property.
