Description:

The City of Bristol is accepting bids for the repair of running track drainage and adjacent bituminous surface at Bristol's two high schools.

Submissions will be accepted until May 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm.  Proposals will be accepted via digital format by email, shared file service, or USB drive delivered to the address noted.  Responses received after the required due date and time will not be considered for award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest.

A non-mandatory bidder’s conference to review the project requirements will be held on April 22, 2025 at 10:30 am, commencing at the athletic fields located at the rear of Bristol Central High School, 480 Wolcott Street, Bristol CT.

Pursuant to Public Act 15-5, this contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals.

The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut. The requirements for prevailing wage rates are to apply to the resultant contract award.

The contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
