Town of Devon - Request for Proposal - 2025 Town of Devon Engineering…

1.1        SCOPE OF WORK

The Engineering services are as follows.

The Town has currently allocated $1,000,000 in 2025 for underground watermain and sanitary main rehabilitation. In the long-term capital plan in 2026 $1,100,000 is allocated and in 2027 $1,125,000. Each year’s allocation will require approval from council as part of the annual capital budget approval.
Below is a list of Engineering services expected from the proponent.

1.1        Detailed Design, Tendering & Award -Roadway Reconstruction

•        Complete the detailed engineering design for a roadway reconstruction project.
•        Prepare tender drawings and specifications appropriate to the conformance to the Town of Devon Engineering Standards and Specifications.
•        Prepare the “Request for Tender” advertising and place on sites such as Alberta Road Builders Association, or as applicable.
•        Oversee Tender Opening at the Town Office or virtual.
•        Review Tenders and make a recommendation for award, including award letter.
•        Completion of Contract Documents.

General Engineering Services during Construction

•        Project coordination of behalf of the Town.
•        Coordinate the services of the Geotechnical consultant
•        Complete pre-construction meeting with Town and Contractors.
•        Prepare Change Orders, Progress Claims, Meeting Minutes and General Correspondence as necessary.
•        Coordinate site meetings as required during construction.
•        Construction survey for all necessary layouts as well as to complete as-builts and measure of quantity for payments.
•        Complete CCC/FAC inspections and documentation including as-builts drawings.

•        Prepare tender drawings and specifications appropriate to the conformance to the Town of Devon Engineering Standards and Specifications.
•        Prepare the “Request for Tender” advertising and place on sites such as Alberta Purchasing Connection, or as applicable.
•        Oversee Tender Opening at the Town Office or virtual.
•        Complete review of Tenders with Town Administration and make a recommendation for award, including award letter.
•        Completion of Contract Documents.

General Engineering Services during Construction

•        Project coordination on behalf of the Town.
•        Coordinate the services of the Geotechnical consultant
