|
The Town of Amherst invites qualified designers to submit an application to provide design and engineering services, including preparation of specifications and bid ready documents for general construction bidding for the slate roof replacement at the Town Hall Building in Amherst, Massachusetts.
The purpose of this project is to provide design and engineering services based on the Department of the Secretary of Interiors Historic Standards for the municipal roofing project, to include, but not limited to: roof assessment and project cost estimate, final design, construction bid package, limited project award support, and construction administration.

Qualifications:
|
|
All individuals proposed for the project must have prior similar public bidding experience on at least 3 projects under M.G.L. c. 149 in the past 3 years. The projects should have a minimum total cost of $500,000 and preferably one over $1,000,000.
Appropriate, up-to-date, professional licenses are required for this project and copies must be included in the submittal.

An optional pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Amherst Town Hall located at 4 Boltwood Ave, Amherst, MA.
