ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
TOWN CENTER SIDEWALKS AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS
WOODBRIDGE, CONNECTICUT
CCGP Project No. 0170-3513GR – Bid 2025-03
The Town of Woodbridge, Connecticut is seeking sealed bids for furnishing all labor, tools, materials and
equipment required for the Town Center Sidewalks and Pedestrian Safety Improvements. Bids will be
received by the Finance Office, Town Hall, 11 Meetinghouse Road, Woodbridge, Connecticut 06525 until
11:30 A.M., local time, on Thursday, November 21, 2024. The bids will be publicly opened and read at the
Town Hall, 11 Meetinghouse Road, Woodbridge, Connecticut 06525 (Finance Department) at 11:30 A.M.
Plans and Specifications for the above project may be examined and/or obtained at Advanced
Reprographics, 50 Corporate Avenue, Plainville, CT 06062, (860) 410-1020, as well at their website
www.advancedrepro.net. Prospective bidders should access the “Planroom” on the website and go to the
“Public Jobs” area, no log in information is necessary. Bidders are responsible for all printing costs and
shipping costs, as applicable.
Form 819 Standard Specifications and Supplemental Specifications may be obtained via the Connecticut
Department of Transportation’s website: http://www.ct.gov/dot/cwp/view.asp?a=3609&q=430362. All
Proposals must be on the form furnished by the Town of Woodbridge and must be requested for the
above-named project.
Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid a certified check, or a bid bond, for not less than five percent
(5%) of the bid as provided in the Information for Bidders.
The attention of the Bidders is called to the requirement for minimum wage rates to be paid under this
Contract.
The right is reserved to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total
bid and to waive any informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town
of Woodbridge.
No Bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (120) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
NOTE: This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination
statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the
state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification as
Small Business Enterprises (“SBE”) from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services
(“DAS”). A minimum of 6.25% of the state-funded portion must be set aside for subcontractors holding
current DAS certification as Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned businesses (“M/W/DisBE”). The
contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals.
CONTRACTORS that have questions regarding clarifications and/or find discrepancies and/or errors in
or between plans, specifications, quantities and other matters, must immediately notify Roy Seelye, PE,
Cardinal Engineering Associates, Inc., 180 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450 or at roys@cardinal-
engineering.com in writing not less than seven (7) days before the scheduled bid opening.
