Request for Applications
Notice is hereby given that the County of Union will receive application packages on March 5, 2026, at 11:30 A.M. EDT in the Union County Administration Building, 10 Elizabethtown Plaza, County Counsel Conference Room, 5 th Floor, Elizabeth, NJ, for the provision of:
TOWING SERVICES
Tentative period of contract April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2029
Any towing company interested in obtaining a license to provide towing services for the County of Union shall complete and submit an application package in accordance with the instructions in the packet and Union County Ordinance 0862-2026

Applications must be made in the form required by the specifications and One (1) Original Paper hard copy and One (1) additional copy along with a certified/bank check in the amount of $350.00 made payable to the “County of Union” shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and must be delivered to reach Carolyn Sullivan Kropp, Esq., Office of the County Counsel, Union County Administration Building, 5 th Floor, 10 Elizabethtown Plaza, Elizabeth, New Jersey 07207. Attention: “APPLICATIONS – COUNTY OF UNION TOWING SERVICES” prior to the stated time for the receipt of applications.
Applications delivery is strongly encouraged to be made by Commercial Mail Carrier (USPS, FEDEX, UPS) so that tracking information is confirmed. The County will not be responsible for late delivery by the U.S. Mail or any other carrier. If delivered by hand to the Administration Building, packages will be received but a receipt of confirmation may not be given. No late applications will be accepted. Applications submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
All information requested in the Request for Applications must be provided or the application may be rejected. Applications MUST BE SEALED and labeled “APPLICATIONS – COUNTY OF UNION TOWING SERVICES” prior to the stated time for the receipt of applications and received no later than 11:30 A.M. on March 5, 2026.
Applicants are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
