Tivoli Wastewater System - Tree Removal
Description:

In preparation for collection system improvements, the Dutchess County Water & Wastewater Authority (DCWWA) requests bids for the removal of dozens of trees and brush in the utility easement area of approximately 1,500 feet (not included Alternate 1 or 2) as shown in the included Attachment A. This is a public works project, and certified payroll will need to be submitted with contractor's invoice and a DCWWA Voucher.

Tree cutting must take place during the Northern Long-Eared Bat hibernation period, between November 19, 2024, and March 31, 2025.

Please note that the awarded bidder must be able to carry the required levels of insurance making sure that DCWWA is added as an "additional insured" on the general and auto liabilities.

The amounts of each insurance policy shall be as follows:

General Liability – $1,000,000.00 each occurrence, $2,000,000.00 Aggregate

Automotive Liability – $1,000,000.00 Combined Single Limit

Excess (Umbrella) Liability – $5,000,000.00

Worker’s Compensation – Must be on NYSIF forms (either C102.5 or U-26.3)

Insurance under this section shall be carried with an insurer authorized to do business in the State of New York by the State Insurance Department with an A.M. Best rating of A or better.

MANDATORY SITE VISIT:

The Owner will conduct two (2) Mandatory Site Visits, for which prospective bidders must attend one (1) of the dates and sign the attendance sheet in order to be eligible for bidding. Dates are as follows:

9:00 AM local time, Tuesday, December 3, 2024

QUESTIONS DEADLINE:

Any questions or clarifications on the Scope of Work, or the project in general, must be sent in writing to the following email addresses: cfalcone@dutchessny.gov and vkichline@dutchessny.gov , by Wednesday, December 4, 2024 . An Addendum answering these questions/clarifications will be posted on Contract Reporter and Bidnet by Friday, December 06, 2024 .
