NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF HERNANDO COUNTY, FLORIDA,
IS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR:

FOR
THE HUT PUMPING STATION UPGRADE AND FORCE MAIN PROJECT
The Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County, Florida, ("the County"), is soliciting Vendors/Contractors that are active in rehabilitation and upgrades to water pumping stations.
Hernando County Utilities Department (HCUD) proposes to receive bids for the rehabilitation of the HUT PUMPING Station. The station will need to be bypassed which will require a bypass plan submitted by the contractor. The rehabilitation will also include the installation of a new odor control. The existing wet well, valve vault, and new collector manhole will be coated per HCUD specifications section 9. The station will receive a new electrical panel as well. There is approximately 4900’ of sixteen-inch force main to be installed (including 600' of 32" casing under Suncoast parkway) along with an approximately 250’ of sixteen-inch force main via directional bore. All site Improvements are as shown per plan, and all construction will be to HCUD specifications. The contractor shall furnish all labor, vehicles, fuel, tools, equipment, parts, supplies, materials, and fees necessary to accomplish the work set forth in a timely and professional manor per HCUD specification
Offers for furnishing the above will be received and accepted up to 10:00 am , local time, Monday, March 17, 2025 , via the Hernando County Procurement Department eProcurement Portal . Only electronic submittals through the eProcurement Portal shall be accepted by the County.
The Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County, Florida, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received in accordance with the Bid Documents and the Hernando County Procurement Ordinance.

Ex parte Communication: Please note that to ensure the proper and fair evaluation of a submittal, the County prohibits ex parte communication (i.e., unsolicited) initiated by the Respondent to the County official or employee evaluating or considering the submittals prior to the time a decision has been made. Communication between Respondent and the County will be initiated by the appropriate County official or employee in order to obtain information or clarification needed to develop a proper and accurate evaluation of the submittal. Ex parte communication may be grounds for disqualifying the offending Respondent from consideration or award of the solicitation or any future solicitation.
The Procurement Department will post addenda on the County’s eProcurement Portal to all questions in accordance with the Solicitation Instructions. It is the responsibility of prospective Bidders to visit the eProcurement Portal to ensure that they are aware of all addenda issued relative to this Solicitation.
Pursuant to Florida Statutes 119.071 sealed bids, proposals or replies received by an agency pursuant to a competitive Solicitation are exempt from inspection until such time as the agency provides notice of an intended decision or until thirty (30) days after opening the bids, proposals, or final replies whichever is earlier.
