Overview
Summary

The successful bidder will be responsible for construction of the 208 TH Street Pump Station, force main, and gravity sewer system. The work includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing the pump station wet well, generator, vaults, pumps and associated equipment and controls, electrical panels and cabinets, canopy, power meter, backflow preventer, reinforced concrete pads, asphalt pavement, chain link fence, conduit and wiring, trench dams, various sizes of sewer pipe, concrete manholes, corrosion resistant manholes, and other associated improvements.

The Contractor shall provide all necessary design work, details, calculations and other information required to acquire the Electrical Permit(s) from Tacoma Power and Fire Permits from Pierce County for the proposed Engine/Generator System. The Owner will obtain a Class C Right-of-Way permit from Pierce County for all work in County Right-of-Way. The Contactor shall comply with all conditions of the issued Right-of-Way permit.

The work includes installing and maintaining erosion control BMPs, roadway excavation including removal and disposal of existing pavement and unwanted or excess materials encountered during execution of the project, traffic control, utility coordination, concrete curb ramp and sidewalk restoration, curb ramp installation, roadway restoration, and restoration of disturbed private property. The work also includes design, permitting, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal of temporary construction dewatering systems and sewer bypass systems as necessary to complete the installation of the sanitary sewer improvements.

The work is to be completed within a maximum of three hundred and eight (308) calendar days from the date of the "Notice to Proceed".

The project estimate ra nge is $9,000,000.00 - $12,000,000.00 i ncluding WA State Sales Tax.
