NOTICE TO BIDDERS

16th STREET ASPHALT OVERLAY

FREMONT, NEBRASKA

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk in the City Building, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska, until 2:00 p.m., May 1, 2025, and be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers at that time for all tools, labor and materials necessary to complete the work required for 16TH STREET ASPHALT OVERLAY as per the Plans and Specifications prepared by the Engineering Department and on file with the City Clerk.

ESTIMATE OF QUANTITIES

2800 Tons of Asphalt. The work is generally described as asphalt, mill and overlay on 16th Street from Nye Street to Lincoln Avenue. AND, other associated work including curb ramps, rebuild manholes and inlets, adjust valves and implementing erosion control.

Contractors that are qualified to bid must obtain the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents from the City Engineer’s office, 3rd. Floor, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska. A non-refundable deposit of $60.00 will be charged for each hard copy set of Plans and Specifications. All work shall conform to the City of Fremont’s Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, latest edition. The contractor shall commence work as soon as practical after execution of the contract. Once the work is started, the contractor shall remain onsite until all work is completed. ALL WORK shall be completed BY September 30, 2025. After September 30, 2025, liquidated damages will be assessed at Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per calendar day.
