224th St SW Non-Motorized Improvements

Notice is hereby given that the City of Bothell will receive sealed bids for the following construction
project. Bids will be received by the receptionist inside Bothell City Hall, located at 18415 101st Ave
NE, (425) 806-6100, in the City of Bothell, Washington up to the hour of 9:00 A.M., as determined by
the designated bid clock at said location, on April 23rd, after all bids will be publicly opened and read
to determine the apparent lowest bidder.
The 224th St SW Non-Motorized Improvements proposes to provide sidewalk access on the north side
of 224th ST SW. The general aspects of this work will involve a separated sidewalk, from the entrance of
Frank Love Elementary School to Meridian Ave S, curb ramp reconstruction at the intersections of 1st Pl
W and Merdian Ave, rapid rectangular flashing beacon installation, and stormwater improvements and
connection to existing system. The total estimated cost for this project is in the range of $1 million to $1.5
million. The number of working days for Physical Completion of this project is 75 days. Please contact

provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on
"Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Bothell". It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in
order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-
Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and
will need to periodically check the online plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders
Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or registration.
Construction plans, specifications and contract documents may also be examined at the City Hall reception
desk.
The City of Bothell, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat.
252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively
ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises
will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be
discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Financing of the project has been provided by the City of Bothell. The City of Bothell reserves the right
to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to further make award of the
project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interest of the City. Proposals are
to be submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions. All Proposals must be
accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order or bid bond payable to the City of Bothell
and in the amount of not less than 5% of the total bid amount.
