This notice is for information purposed only, this is not a request for bids
Project scope includes sitework, subgrade excavation, foundations, full power jet blast deflector system, concrete paving, and minor utility modifications. The proposed project includes the following:
Demolition: In preparation for new blast deflectors, the project site-work includes, but is not limited to; demolition of existing blast deflectors and site pavings
Construction: Two new full power jet blast deflectors sized to accommodate full engine run-ups for the KC-135 aircraft. New concrete paving systems connecting new blast deflectors to the existing concrete aircraft apron. Relocation of existing flight line security lighting pole and relocation of flight line fuel system emergency shutoff controls
Sustainability Design and Energy Conservation: The project design incorporates Sustainability Concepts to achieve optimal resource efficiency, constructability, and energy conservation. The project will not be registered with the USGBC, nor will it pursue certification by a third-party rating system. However, the project is intended to be LEED Meritable in accordance with ANGETL15-01-01. As such, specific sustainability goals are listed in the project specifications. Contractor will be required to provide products and systems meeting the specified requirements and provide appropriate documentation during the submittal process to substantiate the product/systems ability to meet or exceed the specified requirements.
