5th and Murphy Waterline Replacement Project

The City of Taylor is requesting competitive sealed bids for the following project: 5 ^th and Murphy Waterline Replacement Project. The project consists of replacement of the existing 2” waterline with 8” PVC waterline along 5 ^th Street and Murphy Street. The project is located on East 5 ^th Street east of Burkett Street and on Murphy Street north of East 4 ^th Street, in Taylor, Texas. Project work includes: Site prep work; erosion and sediment control; trenching and backfill; water main construction; installation of water main valves; installation of a fire hydrant; installation of air release valve and automatic flushing valves; utility construction; and all other work required in accordance with the plans and specifications. A non-mandatory, Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, May 26 ^th , 2026, at 2:00 PM local time, in person and via Teams video conference. Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City of Taylor City Hall, Attn: Purchasing Agent, located at 400 Porter St, Taylor, TX 76574 until Wednesday, June 10 ^th , 2026 at 2:00 PM local time. Immediately thereafter, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud in person and via Teams video conference. The proposals shall be sealed. Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the site as needed. The deadline for questions will be Friday, June 5 ^th , 2026 at 5:00 PM local time.
