NOTICE INVITING BIDS

for 8 ^th Avenue Sewer Extension: Phase I,

Discovery Park Boulevard and 8 ^th Avenue City Park

The City of Safford (City) hereby invites the submission of sealed Bids from properly licensed Contractors for the Sewer Extension of 8 ^th Avenue, located within the City of Safford, AZ, beginning at the intersection of 8 ^th Avenue and 26 ^th Street, extending south along 8 ^th Avenue for approximately 1,700 feet, then southwest for approximately 1,000 feet, terminating in Discovery Park Boulevard right-of-way. The Project is expected to take 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed and includes the purchase and installation of 2,744 linear feet of 12” sewer pipe, 14-new manholes, ancillary sewer features, and replacement of existing asphalt, curb, and gutter. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the City of Safford MYOC Conference Room, 405 W Discovery Park Boulevard. In-person attendance is preferred, but a remote option will be available for the Pre-Bid Conference. Information necessary for remote access will be provided, upon request, to prospective Bidders via the email address below.

Bidders shall seal and deliver their Bids by 2:00 PM local time, Thursday, November 14, 2024, to the City Clerk’s office at 717 W. Main St., Safford, AZ 85546, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids must include a bid bond for 10% of the Bid amount, and all Bids must be plainly marked on the outermost packaging with “Attention: Sealed Bid – #PK2303,” and shall indicate the company name and address of the Bidder and Bid closing date and time. Any Bids received after 2:00 PM on the above stated date will be returned unopened. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to withhold the award for any reason the City determines. The City also reserves its right to hold any or all Bids for sixty (60) days after the Bid opening date and will not allow withdrawal of Bids during those sixty (60) days.
