Project Description

Scope of Work: Tenderloin Rec Center Children’s Play Area Improvement project is located at 570 Ellis Street, San Francisco between Hyde Street and Leavensworth Street. The project will renovate the Children's Play Area (CPA) by creating a nature-focused play and exploration area, enhancing outdoor recreation, adding seating, expanding planting areas, and implementing ADA improvements. The scope includes demolition of the current play equipment and rubber tile surfacing, demolition of hardscape, relocating the portable soccer pitch to the front of the property, and shifting the play area to the rear corner. The new play area will feature updated equipment, resilient surfacing, and log edging for nature exploration. Some of the play equipment will be pre-purchased by a donor and installed by the contractor.
