Description

1. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes- it does not constitute a Request for Quotes (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, the Government is not at this time seeking quotations and will not accept unsolicited offers. Interested vendors are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Notice will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this Notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on https://www.sam.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement.





2. The 30th Contracting Squadron (30 CONS) is conducting market research to identify potential contractors that can provide Telescope 16” and Relay Optic to support Vandenberg SFB mission.



The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 334511 – Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing with the corresponding size standard of 1,350 Employees.



To assist 30 CONS in making a determination regarding the level of participation by small business in any subsequent procurement that may result from this Notice, you are also encouraged to provide information regarding product specifications and how they fullfill the salient characteristis. Please outline how you would envision your company's areas of expertise and any past experience you may have that meet the specific requirements contained in this announcement.



In order to make a determination for a small business set-aside, two or more qualified and capable small businesses must submit responses that demonstrate their qualifications. Responses must demonstrate the company’s ability to perform in accordance with the Limitations on Subcontracting clause (FAR 52.219-14).





3. The information that is received from this Notice will be used to make the best decision on how to proceed with this acquisition. Information received will not be shared with other potential offerors.
