Technical Assistance for Comprehensive Planning

The Lake Champlain – Lake George Regional Planning Board (LCLGRPB), the federally designated Economic Development District for Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties of New York State, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to assist LCLGRPB staff in the development of the Town of Horicon Comprehensive Plan, funded by the New York State Department of State (NYSDOS).

The qualified firm will work with LCLGRPB to facilitate public engagement, plan document layout and formatting, GIS mapping, and diagrammatic planning level graphics, as needed. Public engagement will include up to five in-person events and additional stakeholder interviews. GIS maps include but are not limited to, project area context maps, sub-area/hamlet area maps, current land use/land cover, future land use, population density, State-owned lands and recreational resources, infrastructure and public utilities, and historic, cultural and scenic resources. Additional maps and displays may be requested for public outreach events. Planning-level graphics and visualizations will be needed for priority sites throughout the community based on input from the Comprehensive Plan Committee and the public.
