The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for DD00513 - TAP CURB
RAMPS at VARIOUS LOCATIONS in EDGECOMBE AND HALIFAX COUNTIES.
PRE-BID MEETING
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the
Division Four Conference Room located at 509 Ward Blvd. in Wilson. Bids received from
companies which are absent from the pre-bid meeting will not be considered.
SBE PROGRAM INFORMATION
This is a SBE contract and to qualify for the NCDOT SBE Program a firm must have an annual
gross income of $1,500,000 or less, exclusive of materials. Only contractors currently certified
as a SBE Contractor by the Contractual Services Unit of NCDOT and listed in the Directory
of Transportation Firms at bid opening will be eligible to bid on this project. Prospective
bidders who qualify for the SBE Program and are not currently certified should submit a completed
application packet prior to bid submittal to allow for review time. The application packet and

Per G.S. 136-28.10, a NC General Contractor's license may be waived for SBE contracts. For this
project, the NC General Contractor's license will be waived. Per G.S. 136-28.10, contract payment
and performance bonds may be waived. For this project, the contract payment and performance
bonds will be waived.

It is the bidder's responsibility to check the previously noted website for any and all addendums
that may be posted for this project. Bids submitted without posted addendums will be rejected.
For June 2022 lettings and later:
Contractors bidding on NCDOT construction contracts must sign up for the Interested Parties List
on the Bidding and Letting page for each project they intend to submit bids on. As part of this
new requirement, Contractors must sign up for the Interested Parties List no later than 11:59 PM
the business day before the letting.
Bids will be opened at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at the Department of Transportation
Division 4 Conference Room located at 509 Ward Blvd., Wilson, NC 27893.
"As-read" bid results should be posted to the Bidding & Letting website within two hours of the
bid opening.
