Plainfield Park District
Park Development: Park Development - Tamarack Settlement Phase 1
This addendum becomes part of and modifies, amends, and clarifies Project Manual for the above-mentioned Bid. All
provisions and requirements of the Project Manual shall remain in effect except as specifically changed in this addendum.
Below is the list of revised items in Addendum #1 (items to follow):
1. Clarification: Bids will be received until 10:00 AM on July 30, 2026.
2. Clarification: The construction and tree protection fence is 4' orange plastic fencing with metal stakes, per detail
1/Sheet D-2.
3. Updated product specifications: The updated specifications sheet on the following page should replace the
corresponding page (page 91) from the original product specifications. This sheet revises the vinyl clad chain link
post and mesh sizes to match with the Details.
4. Revised Drawings: The following drawing sheet was revised and should replace the corresponding sheets from the
original bid package. This sheet changed the post size to be consistent with the specifications on detail 10/Sheet D-1.

5. Revised Drawings: The following drawing sheet was revised and should replace the corresponding sheets from the
original bid package. This sheet corrects the sheet title only. This sheet is part of base bid.
a. TS-10 - Grading & Drainage Plan
6. Updated Bid Form: The following page was revised and should replace the corresponding page (page 46) from the
original bid package. This sheet added the missing line items for waste receptacle under the alternate #2.
7. Clarification: The GameTime - FT21002 Form Factor fitness equipment is installed with in-ground mount in footings.
The equipment is not surface mount. The final footing details will be provided with the installation sheets at the
time of order.
Receipt of this addendum shall be acknowledged in the Bid Form and by signing below and including a copy of this sheet
with your bid submission.

D. Gate Posts
1. Gate posts for single leaf gates six (6) feet or less in width: 2.875" O.D.
pipe, 4.64 lbs. per foot min.
2. Gate posts for single leaf gates six (6) to twelve (12) feet in width: 4.00" O.D.
pipe, 6.56 lbs. per foot.
E. Rails
1. All rails shall be 1.625" O.D. pipe weighing 2.27 lbs. per linear foot furnished in
manufacturer's standard lengths of approximately 21'-0" with outside sleeve type
couplings, at least six (6) inches long for each joint - one (1) coupling in each five
(5)to have expansion spring. Provide means for attaching rails securely to each
corner, pull and end post. Rails shall form continuous brace from end to end of
each run of fence.
F. Post Bracing Assembly
1. 1.625" O.D. pipe weighing 2.27 lbs. per linear foot (for horizontal braces).
Provide at each side of corner and pull posts and at end posts for fence six (6)
feet or higher.
2.2 CHAIN LINK FABRIC (VINYL CLAD)
A. Chain Link fence fabric shall be factory coated 9- gauge core wire with a min .02 inch
thick coating of plasticized polyvinyl-chloride Class 2B Fused and Bonded applied by the
fusion method over a thermoset plastic bonding agent. The bond shall exhibit equal or
greater strength than the cohesive strength of the vinyl. All cut ends shall be coated with
vinyl at the factory. Fabric shall be 2" mesh and black in color.
B. Top and bottom of fabric shall have knuckled selvage, both sides.
2.3 FITTINGS AND ACCESSORIES (VINYL CLAD)
A. All accessories shall be vinyl clad in accordance with paragraph 2.01 above and
galvanized in conformance with ASTM Designation A153.
