TABLES, TENTS & CHAIRS FOR COMMENCEMENT 2025

The City College of New York ("CCNY" and/or "the College") of The City University of New York ("CUNY" and/or "the University") is seeking sealed bid submissions in response to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for:

1) Folding chairs, a stage, two sets of adjustable portable stairs with handrails curved at the top to align horizontal to the stage deck, tents, tables, and marquees;

2) The labor required to deliver, set up and breakdown this equipment for the College's Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremonies

The set-up will be outdoors on grass, pavement, asphalt, paving stones, and earth; terrain is uneven at certain locations. The selected Contractor shall weigh down all equipment using best engineered industry practices and certified weigh calculation standards. The Contractor shall not use spikes to secure any equipment.

A mandatory Site Visit is scheduled for Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM. All interested Bidders must respond in advance of the Site Visit by Monday, February 10, 2025. Please email the Designated Contact below to inform them of the names of the attendees from your organization. Vendors that do not respond in advance will not be permitted to enter The City College of New York campus.

The selected Contractor will be required to:

1) Coordinate its work with the College's Commencement Committee

2) Coordinate with any other Contractors performing work on the College's Designated Site

Respondent shall have been in business of providing event staging and furniture rental services for a minimum of three (3) years as of the Submission Due Date. Respondent shall have satisfactorily completed within the past two (2) years at least three (3) contracts that are of similar size, scope, complexity, and nature (and specific to commencement and graduation ceremonies) to those required by this IFB.

Any purchase that results from this advertisement shall be governed by the University’s standard Terms and Conditions, Purchase Order, and the Standard Clauses for New York State Contracts (Appendix A).

of Compliance with State Finance Law §139-j and §139-k"
