Solicitation Summary

This project, located in the Town of Easton, Talbot County, consists of geometric and safety improvements along US 50 from Lomax Street to Dutchman’s Lane. Within the project limits, US 50 has been identified as a Priority Corridor in SHA’s Pedestrian Safety and Action Plan (PSAP). The project limits begin south of the intersection of US 50 and Dutchman’s Lane and extend north of the intersection of US 50 and Lomax Street, for a total distance 1.70 miles.

The work will consist of the following:
(a) Traffic control, including median, shoulder, and lane closures;
(b) New channelizing islands at intersections;
(c) Lengthening left turn bays;
(d) Safety improvements, including sidewalks and traffic barrier installation;
(e) Traffic signal upgrades;
(f) Roadway resurfacing;
(g) Drainage improvements, including updates to deficient or damaged pipes;
(h) Stormwater management/erosion and sediment control;
(i) Landscaping
