System-Wide Bridge and Highway Repairs
Description:

The New York State Bridge Authority (NYBSA) is soliciting proposals to provide twenty-four (24) hour standby readiness in order to take action, at the Chief Engineer’s discretion, to protect property and public safety by repairing portions of, and preventing further degradation to, Authority facilities. The repair work will be of a type that is usually associated with structural repairs to bridges, highways and other features of Authority facilities. The Contractor shall be readily available to supply equipment, manpower and materials on 5 days’ notice commencing on the award date of the contract. If an assignment arises , the Contractor will be notified by the Chief Engineer, or his representative, to mobilize to perform the urgent repair work as needed. The Contractor may be required to work days, nights or weekends until the situation is resolved as determined by the Engineer . The project work may be assigned anywhere within the Bridge Authority’s Facilities:

The Authority intends to sign an agreement for a three (3) year term from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028. Two (2) additional one-year extensions are optional under mutual agreement between the Authority and the Contractor.

Firms possessing demonstrable expertise in these areas of construction are invited to submit a bid/cost proposal. All inquiries for the RFP shall be made by emailing Teresa Ceragioli, Confidential Secretary to the Chief Engineer, at tceragioli@nysba.ny.gov with your “Expression of Interest” and include your firms complete contact information.

All firms submitting a proposal shall present evidence of qualification and experience. Firms shall comply with the terms of the RFP which includes Equal Employment Opportunity.
