SYSBII-CICS VSAM Software Maintenance and Support

The Minnesota Department of IT Services (Agency) intends to renew an agreement with H&W Computer Systems, Inc. (H&W), for up to 36 months to provide continued, uninterrupted use of SYSBII-CICS VSAM File Sharing software including maintenance and support services.

SYSBII-CICS VSAM is used by the Agency for mainframe support of customer applications. The Agency has determined that SYSBII-CICS VSAM File Sharing software is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product that meets the Agency’s business needs. The software is solely distributed and supported by H&W, which retains exclusive ownership, copyright, and trademark rights. Because the proprietary software is not available from other third parties, the Agency believes this to be a single source purchase.
