The Town of Agawam will receive sealed bids for a `Swimming Pool Surface Preparation & Coating' at Agawam Junior High School 1305 Springfield Street Feeding Hills, MA.
The estimated cost of the work is $70,000.

Bids shall be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a bid bond, cash, or a certified check or a treasurers check issued by a responsible bank or trust company having offices in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The proposal guarantee shall be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the Town of Agawam.
A mandatory pre-bid walkthrough will be held on April 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the project site, 1305 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills, MA 01030. Attendance is mandatory for all prospective bidders to familiarize themselves with the site and project scope. Contractors to meet at the front of the building
Bid will be due, publicly opened and read on Thursday April 10, 2025, at 2:30 PM in the Agawam Building Maintenance Department, Conference Room, 1347 Main Street Agawam, MA.
Bids must be addressed to Jennifer Bonfiglio, Chief Procurement Officer, securely sealed, showing the name and address of bidder. All bids must be clearly marked ` Swimming Pool Surface Preparation & Coating, Agawam Junior High School" on the outside of the envelope. Proposals received after the due date and time will not be accepted under any conditions.
A 50% Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder. Attorney-in-fact who signs Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file with the each Bond a certified and effective dated copy of their power of attorney. Prevailing Wage rates have been established for this project by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Bids shall be made on the basis of Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract.
The Town of Agawam reserves the right to waive any formalities, to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, and to take whatever action it believes to be in the best interest of the Town.
