Sustainability Division Grant Writer

The County of Yolo is requesting qualifications from grant writing professionals to provide specialized grant writing services to support Yolo County’s climate initiatives as outlined in this RFQ. The Yolo County Community Services Department, Sustainability Division, is seeking a qualified grant writer to track and secure funds to implement climate projects identified in the County’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP), support project development, write shovel-ready project descriptions, and provide project management assistance in grant applications. Proposers must have previous experience supporting and applying for climate and sustainability grants in California.

The selected grant writer will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities from state, local, and private sources; working with Sustainability Division staff preparing and submitting grant applications; and providing post-award support for climate-related projects. The awarded proposer will work closely with County staff to develop competitive grant applications that advance the County’s climate priorities and the goals outlined in the CAAP.

Proposers who submit a response to this RFQ must have the ability to meet the requirements, including the terms and conditions contained in this RFQ.
