Surplus Property

The City of Centralia, Illinois will be accepting sealed bids for the following surplus property until Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in the office of the City Clerk, 101 S. Locust, Centralia, IL 62801. Bids will be officially opened by the City Council at its regular meeting on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. and awarded at the meeting on November 10, 2025 or at a meeting following recommendation for approval of the bid. Each bid shall be in writing; state the name, address and telephone number of the bidder; the legal description of the parcel being bid with its respective Parcel number, and the total purchase price. The bidder shall also place the Parcel number being bid on the outside of the sealed bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by an earnest money deposit of 10% of the total bid amount. The minimum bid is set at $2,500.00. The earnest check on rejected or unaccepted bids will be returned to the bidder. The check on accepted bid shall be held and applied to the purchase price.
