(a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.

(c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of: conducting market research to identify potential sources for a potential procurement of Stress Test Equipment as indicated below.

DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS for PENTAX Nasolaryngoscope and Hand-held Leak Tester
Requirement:

The contractor shall deliver, and provide any initial support associated with the purchase of qty 1 (one) PENTAX VNL11-J10, Slim HD or equal Nasolaryngoscope with the following minimum characteristics:

Endoscope must be flexible to be inserted transorally and transnasally
Solid state sensors arranged at the distal end of the endoscope to acquire images
Body mounted angulation control lever
Minimum field of view 85 degrees
Direction of no greater than 0 degrees
Depth of view minimum 3mm, maximum 50mm
Tip angulation shall span a minimum 130 degrees up and down
Minimum rigid distal width of 3.5 mm
Insertion tube width maximum 3.6 mm
Maximum insertion portion width 4.55 mm
Minimum insertion portion working length 300 mm
Maximum total length 500 mm
Compatible with Pentax EPK-i5010 light source/camera

The contractor shall deliver, and provide any initial support associated with the purchase of qty 1 (one) ZUTR0002P PENTAX Hand Held Leak Tester or equal with the following minimum characteristics:
Immediate air release capability to deflate endoscope for injury prevention
Minimum 250mm tubing
Compatibility with flexible scopes
