Description
Description: The State University of New York (SUNY) is the largest comprehensive system of higher education in the United States. Across the system, SUNY has four academic health centers, five hospitals, four medical schools, two dental schools, a law school, the country’s oldest school of maritime, the state’s only college of optometry, and manages one US Department of Energy National Laboratory. In total, there are more than three million SUNY alumni worldwide, and one in three New Yorkers with a college degree is a SUNY alum.
As a key driver of New York State’s strong economic, academic, and cultural success, SUNY plays a critical role on Executive, Governing and Advisory boards across the state and nation. SUNY is uniquely situated to capitalize on the array of graduates that are known to be exceptional leaders, conferred great benefit to society, and are proven to be of the highest caliber in professional and academic circles.
