Sullivan O&W Rail Trail: Neversink Crossing

Off-road trail, bridge, and boardwalk project for the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail in the Town of Fallsburg, Sullivan County, NY (PIN RT21.11). Project consists of the construction of asphalt trail on embankment, 108 ft timber boardwalk, and a new 180 ft prefabricated bridge over the Neversink River. Additional project elements include a timber safety railing, slope stabilization treatments where the existing slope is deteriorating due to a point source drainage outlet, new ditch, signing, striping, guiderail, and landscaping enhancements, landscaping, installation of pedestrian/bike RRFB.

Bid deposit 5% of Base Bid. Electronic copies of the plans and specifications can be requested from the Engineer via email at Neversink@altago.com. Pick-up of plan documents in hard copy will not be provided. Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the Office of the Town of Fallsburg Town Clerk at 19 Railroad Plaza, South Fallsburg, NY 12779 during regular business hours.

Contractors that obtain Contract Documents from a source other than the issuing office must notify the issuing office in order to be placed on the official Plan Holder List, to receive Addenda and any other Bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders List will not be accepted.

This is a Federal-Aid and State-Aid project, and Federal requirements will prevail. Subcontracting is permitted as described in Section 108-05 of the Standard Specifications of the Dept. of Transportation. The use of Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprises is encouraged but not explicitly required.
