NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The School Board of Brevard County, Florida , henceforth referred to as the District or School Board is issuing an intent to single/sole source for Student Built One (1) Cylinder Engine ( 26-0960-SS-JD ).

Project Overview

The District is intending to single/sole source Honda GX35 Based Four (4) Stroke Engine Adapted for Educational Use Featuring: Horizontal Crankshaft Design, Non-Interference Timing Belt, 360° Inclinable Engine, Two (2) Compression Rings, One (1) Oil Ring, Floating Piston Pin, Emergency Stop Switch from Consulab at an anticipated cost of $16,000 for a One-time purchase .

The deadline to submit questions or responses for a like product to this notice is Friday, April 24, 2026 on 2:00 pm .

NOTE: Respondents are required to submit responses electronically via the OpenGov e-Procurement Platform. Respondents shall not be permitted to hand-deliver, mail, telephone, fax or email offers.

Responses received after the submission deadline and/or transmitted outside of the designated OpenGov e-Procurement Platform shall be rejected.

The Fully Functional 4‑Stroke Engine Training System is a modern instructional engine designed specifically for education and training programs. The system allows students to safely observe, measure, disassemble, diagnose, and reassemble a complete internal combustion engine while following OEM‑based service procedures.
