Structural Bridge and Cattleguard In-Plant Quality Assurance Services

The BC Ministry of Forests (“FOR” or “Ministry”) invites proposals from Proponents specializing in structural quality assurance (QA) services to provide these services during the in-plant fabrication of concrete, steel and timber components for Ministry bridges and cattleguards.
It is anticipated that the successful Proponent will enter into a contract to provide ongoing, on-call and responsive in-plant QA inspection services to the Ministry for a term of twelve (12) months from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
It is anticipated that a contract could be awarded by June 30, 2025, with in-plant quality assurance services commencing July 1, 2025.
The Contract contains an ‘option to renew’ clause whereby the Ministry reserves the right to renew but is under no obligation to renew a Contract for 1 year, up to a maximum of two term renewals, subject to provincial funding and satisfactory performance of the successful Proponent as determined by the Ministry in its sole discretion.
As renewal is not assured, Proponents are cautioned to prepare their price on the basis of a single term contract only between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026. Should the option-to-renew be exercised, the bid rate or bid price is expected to remain unchanged for the 2nd and 3rd terms of one year each.
