Greektown Neighborhood Partnership is pleased to release the Monroe Streetscape Construction Owner's Representative Request for Qualifications for a scope of work in Downtown Detroit for your consideration. The RFQ may be accessed here: https://www.greektowndetroit.org/requests-for-proposals
The Greektown Neighborhood Partnership (GNP) is seeking qualifications from experienced firms or individuals to serve as an Owner's Representative (Owner's Rep) for the redevelopment of Monroe Street from Randolph Street to the I-375 Service Drive, encompassing four city blocks through Greektown in Downtown Detroit. This project is aimed at transforming Monroe Street into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly corridor, enhancing public spaces, and promoting economic vitality in one of Detroit's key cultural and commercial areas.
The Owner's Rep will act as the project owner's (GNP) advocate and provide strategic oversight, coordinate between the project owner and the project team, and ensure that the project adheres to its budget, timeline, and quality standards. A critical function of the Owner's Rep will also be the review and financial oversight of contractor bids and construction expenditures, as well as addressing community concerns and construction access to businesses.
Construction scope may include, but is not limited to the following elements:
Earthwork; utilities; mechanical; underground infrastructure (conduits, vaults, stormwater, main water, drainage, etc.); concrete foundations; grading and drainage; lighting; planters; fencing; paving surfaces including stone pavers; planting and irrigation; site furnishings; event and performance sound; and signage.
