Street Tree Purchase and Planting

The City of Ypsilanti (“City” or “Owner”) was awarded a Michigan Department of Natural Resources (“DNR”) Urban and Community Forestry Inflation Reduction Act Grant (“Grant”). The City is issuing this Request for Quotes from tree nurseries interested in and capable of providing and installing about 110 trees in partial fulfillment of this grant. All trees will be planted according to DNR’s tree planting diagram (see attached DNR Tree Planting and Care Tips, Attachment 2), including mulching and staking, or using similar industry standards. The City’s Grant Agreement can be found in Attachment 4 (separate document). All planting sites will be in residential rights of way, street-accessible, with no overhead utilities, and selected by the City’s Department of Public Works (“DPW”). One unbound paper copy with the pricing page flagged and one electronic copy (e.g. USB flash drive) of the proposal must be delivered in an opaque sealed envelope. The envelope must be properly labeled (including FedEx and UPS labels) as follows:
