ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Pursuant to Section 143-129 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, sealed proposals for the furnishing of materials, labor and equipment for the construction of the 2025-26 Street Resurfacing Project will be received on or before 2:30 p.m. EDT, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in the office of the Public Services Director, Mike Horney at the City of Lexington City Hall, 28 W. Center Street, Lexington, North Carolina 27292 at which time and place bids will be opened and read aloud. Electronic bids will not be accepted.

ESTIMATED PROJECT QUANTITIES

± 3,989 TN Double Fiber Reinforced Asphalt Surface Course S9.5C

± 1,368 TN 1” ARMI

± 29,864 SY Asphalt Pavement Milling

± 662 SY Variable Depth Asphalt Pavement Milling (2.0” – 5.0”)
Including but not limited to: adjustment of manholes and water valves, concrete flatwork, and all other associated work. The quantities displayed above are estimates.

A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday August 14th, 2025, at 10:30 am to discuss the project requirements and expectations via Microsoft Teams Meeting.  Meeting details are on page 00200-1(Invitation to Bid) of the project manual.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract documents shall be submitted in writing to Rob Holland, by email at rholland@withersravenel.com .

Last day for questions is Monday, August 18 by 5:00pm and the answers to all question and any addenda will be available by Tuesday, August 19 by 5:00pm.
