2025 Street Resurfacing

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Kennesaw City Clerk, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Avenue, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144, until 3:00 EDT pm on Wednesday July 9, 2025, for resurfacing of three streets of various lengths. The project includes furnishing all labor, material, and equipment for milling and resurfacing of 28 streets of various lengths and section of roadway. The list of streets and distances are shown in the Specifications section of this package.Copies of the bid document may be attained by contacting the City Clerk at lalvarez@kennesaw-ga.gov. Technical questions should be addressed to Ricky Stewart at rstewart@kennesaw-ga.gov. All bidders must be prequalified with GDOT.

Davis-Bacon wage rates and DBE goals DO NOT apply to this project. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the City of Kennesaw.

The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Contract Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract price and a Payment Bond equal to 110% of the contract price, with the terms and surety to be approved by the City of Kennesaw; and furnish satisfactory proof of carriage of the insurance required.

It is agreed the unit quantities shown in the Specifications are approximate only and the bid is based on a lump sum price. The contract sum will only increase or decrease by a change in the project scope and by change order approved by the City of Kennesaw. It is further understood and agreed upon the unit prices entered on Unit Price Sheet shall apply to any increase or decrease in quantities caused by a change in project scope.

The City of Kennesaw reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise. The City of Kennesaw also reserves the right to reject bids which are non-confirming or to reopen the bidding if all bids are in excess of funds available for the project.
