2025 STREET LIGHTING UPGRADES-DIRECTIONAL BORE NEW UNIT DUCT

INVITATION FOR BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois that sealed bids will be received for the following contract:

2025 STREET LIGHTING UPGRADES-DIRECTIONAL BORE NEW UNIT DUCT

Sealed bids will be received until 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the office of the Director of Public Works, Village of Park Forest, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois, and will be publicly opened and read at that time.

Bid forms, and specifications are also available to view for free at the Village website, www.vopf.com under “Bids and RFPs” link.  It is not required, but bid forms, and specifications are also available at the office of the Director of Public Works, Village of Park Forest, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois.

This work consists of: All mobilization, material, labor, equipment and incidentals necessary for the directional Bore 2,087 ft of new 1.25" electrical unit duct on existing street light circuits. Pulling and connecting of new wires shall be done by Village. This contract is only to provide new unit duct.

The Village reserves the right to refuse to issue plans, bid forms, and specifications to any person, firm, or corporation that it considers to be unqualified.  Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids, and to make such award as it may deem to be in the best interest of the Village.

No less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract.  The Village of Park Forest is located in Cook and Will Counties .
