ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

VILLAGE OF PARK FOREST, ILLINOIS

1.         Time and Place of Opening Bids.  Sealed proposals for the construction of the 2025 Street Improvements for the Village of Park Forest, Cook County, Illinois, will be received at the Village Hall at 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, IL 60466 until 2:00 P.M., February 18, 2025, and at that time will be publicly opened and unit price total read aloud.

2.         Description of Work. Pavement replacement and resurfacing with storm sewer repairs including: PAVEMENT REM (34,506 SY), AGG SUBGRADE IMPR 12 (5,628 CY), REM & DISP UNS MATL (2,227 CY), HMA SC IL-9.5 D N50 (3,870 TON), HMA BC IL-19.0 N50 (4,837 TON), COMB CC&G TM4.12 (26,753 FT), DRAINAGE STRUCTURES (83 EA), STORM PIPE (692 FT), PC CONC SIDEWALK 5 (37,092 SF), DRIVEWAY PAVEMENT (2,772 SY), AND OTHER RELATED ITEMS OF WORK.

3.         Information for Bidders.  All pertinent documents may be examined at the Village Hall at 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, IL 60466 or Baxter & Woodman, Inc. by contacting Matthew Vander Velden - For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. - (815) 444-4471 for access information to BHFX, www. bhfxplanroom.com, where copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained upon a non-refundable payment of $75.00 per set. Documents can be purchased only through BHFX Digital Imaging.

No less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract.  The Village of Park Forest is located in Cook and Will Counties.

The Village of Park Forest is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35.  Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes.

All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Park Forest for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions.

4.         Rejection of Bids.  The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities.  Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.
