2026 Street Chip Sealing Project

Bid opening for the 2026 Street Chip Sealing Project will be at the Street Department, 105 S 10th St, Garden City, Kansas, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. However, sealed bids will need to be mailed to the City of Garden City Kansas, P.O. Box 998, Garden City, Kansas 67846 with 2026 Street Chip Sealing Project put on the outside of the envelope and received before 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026,

The work consists of the following major items:

Part A: Seal coating approximately 292,000 square yards of streets at various locations within the City of Garden City

Part B: 116,800 gallons (minimum) CRS-1h Asphalt Emulsion

Part C: 3,540 tons of 1/2” (minus) Crushed Rock – no fines cover material, delivered

Part B & C are tied with part A contractor

All bids shall be on the printed proposal forms, which may be obtained from the Public Works Office. The proposal form shall be the contract to supply the materials for the unit price bid on the proposal form for the summer of 2026, June 1 through August 28, on an as-needed basis.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
