DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO Medical Graphics Corporation (MGC). This is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the procurement of Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Equipment.
This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a Single Source due to proprietary constraints, required compliance with Somnoware integration, and in the interest of patient safety as the MGC PFT offers a turn and sit entry to the box with no need to step-up or twist to enter. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 339112 with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
This notice of intent to sole source with justification for brand name only satisfies the public posting requirements of FAR 13.501. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists, and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest (EOI) received prior to December 26, 2024. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to latriece.bruce@va.gov and received by 12:00 PM EST on December 26, 2024. Submitters are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on-time.
