ProjectOverview:

Through this Request for Quotes (RFQ), WSBseeks a qualified consultant with experience working with national or regionalnonprofits of similar size and scope to facilitate a comprehensive strategicplanning process and develop a strategic plan. The selected consultant willcollaborate closely with WSB executive leadership and the Board of Directors toensure the plan aligns with our mission, values, and long-term goals.

Scope of Work:

WSB will conduct a facilitated strategicplanning workshop, which involves gathering, sorting, and prioritizing the bestideas of WSB's policy leaders and executive managers, focused on theorganization's core purposes and the most important attributes of success.

We seek tocreate a strategic plan that leverages the building blocks we've already put inplace to guide, clarify, and harmonize the work and focus of WSB over the nexttwo years. The plan's goals should inspire WSB staff, contractors, andstakeholders, as we all provide a roadmap of activities that can be implementedto achieve those goals. We want the plan to be short enough to make it usableby staff, yet long enough to include narratives that inspire passion around ourorganizational direction. We think that a final plan of 5-10 pages maximum willachieve those two goals. WSB will produce a 1-page infographic of the finalplan for external posting, distribution, and easy consumption. Ultimately,think of the Plan as more of a compass than a turn-by-turn GPS. The Plan mustbe flexible enough to help WSB navigate any political and/or market changesthat might occur during the Plan while still providing an inspiring andstrategic throughline that will be true irrespective of the winds of change.

WSB'sstrategic planning workshop will be held in person on November 20, beginning at9:00 am and ending at noon, with an opportunity for a working lunch to wrap up.The audience of 50 attendees will be made up of the Board of Directors andexecutive staff.

Thefacilitator is responsible for directing the agenda, announcing thepresenters/speakers, and serving as the moderator for break-out/table sessions.The facilitator will coordinate with the WSB CEO and executive staff prior tothe event, so both parties are clear on the optimal delivery and message to theaudience to ensure desired outcomes.
