2025 Stormwater System Brick Arch Lining and Repair Services Project

The City of Charleston (City) requests General Contractor Pre-Qualification Proposals for a Task Order Contract (TOC) to provide shotcrete lining and spot repair construction services of the City’s Historic Brick Arches in the stormwater drainage system located on the Charleston Peninsula. The brick arches, typically 3’ wide by 5’ high, date from the mid-1800’s and have experienced loss of mortar, bricks, and wood flooring, along with the improper installation of crossing utilities through the arch at various unknown locations, leaving them fragile and subject to failure. Cleaning of the brick arch will be made under a separate contract. The TOC is for one calendar year with three one-year extensions at the option of the City. Work is expected to include shotcrete lining, manhole installation, utility relocation, open trench repair, spot repair services, and pavement repair in such a manner as to protect and preserve the brick arches. The Contractor should have the ability to meet Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise goals established by the City.
