INVITATION TO BID

Owensboro Municipal Utilities will receive sealed bids until 2:00 P.M. (CST) on

Tuesday March 10, 2026 (prevailing time) at which time bids will be opened and

read aloud for the:

BID No. 26-03-009

STEEL POLES

Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU) is requesting bids for the purchase of

various quantities of 75’, 80’, and 85’ Galvanized and Weathered Galvanized Steel

Class H4, H8, and H10 Poles, as outlined in the “Pricing Proposal” pages included

in this Invitation to Bid (ITB).

All steel poles shall conform to the attached “Specifications for Steel

Transmission Poles” Manual and respective attached Drawings, or as otherwise

specified by OMU. Also, all steel poles shall be from one of OMU’s approved

manufacturers and those are the only manufacturers that will be accepted, unless

otherwise specified and approved by OMU. The OMU “Approved Manufacturers

List for Steel Transmission Poles” is separately attached.

All poles delivered pursuant to this ITB shall be subject to OMU’s inspection within

a reasonable period following delivery to the designated location. OMU reserves

the right to reject any and all poles that fail to meet the required standards and

specifications, or that are defective in material or workmanship.

OMU reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities.
