Steel for the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure for a Period of One (1) Year and an Option to Extend One (1) Year Based Upon the Index Rate

The County of Mercer requests bids for HOT ROLLED STEEL AND STEEL BEAMS, REINFORCING BAR (REBAR) and REINFORCING WIRE MESH SHEETS for the Department of Transportation for a period of one year with an option to extend one (1) year based upon the index rate. The following materials and corresponding price lines as listed below are required under this request for bid, RFB. Materials shall be in accordance with the specifications listed herein for each type of steel product. All Standard Mill Tolerances are acceptable except as noted. All HOT ROLLED STEEL BEAM material must meet ASTM A992 grade or better as per specifications listed on price lines. All HOT ROLLED STEEL material must meet ASTM A36. All REINFORCING BAR material must meet ASTM A615. All REINFORCING WIRE MESH SHEET material must meet ASTM A496. Mill Test Certification is required with shipments. There is no price adjustment permitted. The County reserves the right to award multiple contracts based upon the lowest cost per beam. Please send all questions to or via the BidNet.
