State Street Watermain Improvements Bid

The City of Big Rapids is requesting Bids for the construction of State Street Watermain Improvements.

Bids for the construction of the project will be received at the City of Big Rapids, Treasurer’s Office located at226 N. Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, MI 49307 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Thursday, November 21,2024. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

Items of work include approximately 6,500 feet of directionally drilled 14” HDPE water main, 1,700’ of open cut water main, 8 Bore & Jack operations of various sizes, water services and hydrants as well as pavement and sidewalk repairs.

The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.

A pre-bid conference will not be held.

Funding is provided through the State of Michigan Drinking Water State Revolving Fund which requires that Federal Wage Rates be utilized. We would like to call the bidders attention to the Davis-Bacon/Prevailing Federal Wage Rates, 29 CFR Part 5- Labor Standards Provisions for Federally Assisted Projects, Debarment/Suspension Certification, and American Iron and Steel Contract Language.
