STAR Center Bldg. 100 Switchgear Trip Unit Replacement and Circuit Breaker Reconditioning Rebid

Pinellas County STAR Center seeks to obtain the services of a contractor to perform upgrading BBC Metalclad LV (480 Volt) Switchgear Trip unit upgrade only or reconditioning the circuit breakers and upgrading the trip units at two electrical switchgear rooms at the Young-Rainey STAR Center, Bldg 100. All repairs and adjustments must be made per manufacturer specifications. The original BBC/ABB switchgear was installed in 1986/87. Services shall include replacing trip units or replacing trip units and reconditioning low voltage metal clad circuit breakers. Also, provide testing reports for trip controllers and reconditioned breakers.

The existing Low voltage (480V) electrical switchgear circuit breakers and their original trip units were installed in 1986/87. The circuit breakers are in dire need of reconditioning and the trip units are in need of upgrading. This scope of work consists of a multiple phase project over a 3-year period due to the continuous operation of the STAR Center and it's tenants throughout the year.
