St. Vincent's Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert (RBC) Reinforced Fill (ML MP 22.18 & 22.28)

Project Description: The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) is a Special District within the State of California that owns, maintains, and operates passenger rail service in Sonoma County and Marin County. In addition to passenger rail service, SMART is a common carrier that owns and operates freight rail services within Sonoma County, Marin County, and Napa County.
SMART is seeking Sealed Bids from qualified and experienced contractors to SMART is seeking Sealed Bids from qualified and experienced contractors to repair four (4) existing RCB culverts in two (2) locations which are failing at the ends due to settlement issues. Work includes installing a rebar cage inside each RCB, installing a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) culvert through each, then forming and pouring mortar to completely fill the RCB’s.
There are no environmental permits required for this work although standard best management practices are required for the mortar work.
Access is as shown in the Overview Map of the Project Location provided in the IFB document through the St. Vincent property, across the tracks at a signalized crossing, and on an existing farm road that SMART has an easement across. Note that the St. Vincents access road is private, narrow, and with a low speed limit.
