The Work to be undertaken is generally described as: St. Anne Back Lane Reconstruction - Electricalin the City of St. Albert and includes, providing secondary electrical servicing for five (5) commercial buildings along the St. Anne Back Lane corridor. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Installation of underground secondary power services from Fortis-provided transformers to designated building service points.
Reuse of existing conduits and cables where feasible; installation of new conduits and cables where required.
Trenching, conduit placement, cable pulling, and backfilling for all new secondary power installations.
Coordination with ATCO Gas, Fortis Alberta, Telus, Rogers, and landowners during installation activities.
Ensure Fortis completes primary power conversion and overhead disconnection prior to energizing secondary services.
Fortis will remove overhead cable line to the buildings, but any terminations not re-used attached to the buildings will need to be removed by the contractor.
Civil works associated with roadway reconstruction will be completed under a separate contract after electrical relocation work is complete; this Contract includes shallow utility trenching only.
