City of Fremont SS4A Project

The City of Fremont is requesting Qualification Statements (RFQ) in the form of a Letter of Interest (LoI) from professional consultants to provide engineering services for the City’s SS4A Project (W. State from Front Street to Western Corporation Limit and Rawson Ave/SR 53 from W. State to North Corporation Limit). The city teamed with Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, and Sandusky Counties in submitting a SS4A funding application as a conglomerate through the U.S. Department of Transportation Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program. The application was approved and is being administered by the Federal Highway Administration with Lucas County being the primary funding grantee who will be working with the various Counties and Cities to develop and construct the projects.

The City of Fremont’s SS4A project limits overlap the City’s W. State Street Improvements Project (S. Front to Rawson Ave), which engineering, surveying and geotechnical services were recently advertised and awarded. The overlap in project limits, timing and funding sources will require coordination of various agencies, project objectives, design, and scoping.
