The City, with the support of the Massachusetts School Building Authority, is preparing to construct a new high school on the site of the existing high school. Upon completion the existing school will be demolished and new playing fields and other site work constructed in its place. This project will keep the school (approximately 900 students in grades 9-12) during construction. The new construction will be approximately 365,000 sq. ft. The project's estimated construction cost is $365M.
