Project Description	Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract from prequalified bidders are invited for the following work: This project includes the replacement in kind of the existing 1,500-gallon hot water storage tank and all associated piping located within the mechanical penthouse (south wing) on the roof of Sproul Hall. The demolition work includes disconnection of existing piping and pumps, as well as removal of the existing water storage tank through a temporary opening in the penthouse roof. All light fixtures, piping, and other building systems along the path of tank removal will be temporarily removed and salvaged. New work includes the provision of a new hot water storage tank, new piping, reconnection to existing piping and pumps, and seismic bracing. The temporary opening in the penthouse roof will be patched and repaired, and any building elements salvaged during construction will be reinstalled. This project includes hazardous material abatement that is addressed in the Specifications and ERM Report.
